He has a degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water resources from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a master's degree in waste recovery from the University of Borås. He has experience in the areas of organic waste, and the use of agro-industrial waste, acting mainly on the topic of life cycle analysis.
The importance of the segment in combating food waste
PhD student in business from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PPGA / UFRGS), Brazil, in the area of Innovation, Technology and Sustainability. In her thesis, she analyzes, through institutional theory, the action of sustainable entrepreneurs bringing solutions for food waste. She was a visiting student at the University of Tartu (Estonia) and at the University of Guelph (Canada). Her recent publications address food waste solutions in a developing country, how digital business platforms can reduce food waste and loss, consumer food waste in different restaurant settings and sustainable business processes from generating ideas to impact measurement.

He works as a manager at a Coop supermarket store in Gotland - an island that belongs to Sweden and has approximately 60,000 inhabitants. He has been working at this store for 3 years making it one of the best in terms of sustainability in Sweden, with a focus on zero waste. In 2019 they received an award for the best in Sweden in terms of sustainability, as well as the best store management.

Tax Benefits and the new Law
Gustavo holds a PhD in business administration, with a concentration in marketing, from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV - EAESP). He was a visiting researcher at the Cornell University School of Agriculture, where he conducted research on the behavior of food consumption. He also led projects in the European Union - Brazil Sector Dialogues on food waste. Journalist and master in administration at UFRN, he has been an analyst at Embrapa since 2006 and is currently part of the RD&I team at Embrapa Alimentos e Território, Embrapa's newest research center.

João Zeni is Director of Sustainability for Latin America at Electrolux, has been working with corporate sustainability for more than 14 years, going through previous experiences in the financial and telecommunications markets, being responsible for the strategic sustainability management of large multinationals. Environmental Engineer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná PUC PR, Occupational Safety Engineer from the Federal Technological University of Paraná, studied Sustainability for Executives at Cambridge University and Leading Sustainable Corporations at Oxford University.
Diego has a degree in advertising, with a specialization in Business Administration from FGV. His professional journey started early, at the age of 14 at ABN bank. After that, he went through consultancies and the financial market until he reached the universe of entrepreneurship, founding his first company in 2011, the Collective Mídia Sustentável. This operation is present in more than 10 airports in the country. In his newest venture, he founded 100% livre, a company that was born from the dream of offering consumers food totally free of pesticides, with much more flavor and ready for consumption. In this journey, it works in partnership with Embrapa, using technologies that, combined with the Brazilian experience in Agribusiness, result in higher quality products, 100% natural and with minimal impact on the environment during the production process.
Francisco holds a PhD in Productin Enginnering from the Graduate and Research Program (COPPE) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
Kelly Dalben is president of ISBE - Swedish-Brazilian Institute of Circular Economy and Sustainable Development and a senior consultant on issues of non-generation of waste in Brazil for the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency since 2015. She is an entrepreneur, activist for matters of combating food waste, which boosted bilateral cooperation on this topic, uniting Swedish and Brazilian actors. Today at ISBE she is the leader of the Connection Sweden and Blue Sys programs that place the final consumer as protagonists of the issues of sustainability and responsible consumption.
